Am I OK

2 espresso shots in and listening to Florist on Tucker’s morning walk, not feeling like shit, once again vibing out on the sun cutting through branches and backlighting weed overgrowth and translucent plastic bags. Is this aesthetic or just peak mental illness?
Recently completed Jason Hickel’s Less Is More and am now transfixed by scenes of nature wrecking the man-made environment — a root uplifting a panel of sidewalk, ivy wiping out sides of buildings like a noble virus. This is the kind of limitless growth we need! Overtake us, please!

Morning Walk – May 18

A quiet Sunday morning stroll with Tucker. Temperature hovering below 70 degrees, and a bright sun cutting through tree branches. I was feeling taken by the shadows and sparkle.

Saguaro Hike

Went on a hike at Saguaro National Park with Kyle and his family. Went a little HAM on the post-processing.

Biosphere 2

Kyle and I are visiting his parents in Arizona this week and stopped by Biosphere 2, a structure built in 1991 as a self-sustaining environment for research and understanding how humans might be able to survive in outer space. It was the subject of a 2020 documentary called Spaceship Earth. The Solar Punk, utopian/dystopian vibes really did it for me.

Metro Tech

The Metro-tech area of Downtown Brooklyn is a bit of a dystopian Postmodern hellscape… but also kind of a vibe?
